Menlo Ventures is excited to welcome Grace Ge to our investment team. As a Senior Associate, Grace will be sourcing, vetting, and advocating for new Venture Fund investments at the seed, Series A, and Series B stages, while also supporting existing portfolio companies. In this role, she will explore new areas of interest and further develop our existing theses around consumerization of the enterprise, supply chain/logistics, and captivating new consumer brands.
Previously, Grace was an investor at RRE Ventures, a venture capital firm in New York. She also served as President of Young Guns, the junior venture community in NY, and Co-Lead of Pitching to the Partnership, a monthly series connecting emerging women in venture with partners from other firms. Grace began her career in investment banking at Wells Fargo Securities before transitioning into management consulting at Accenture, where she worked with several clients including Google, eBay, Facebook, and NetApp.
Grace’s passion is supporting entrepreneurs at their most vulnerable early stages to ensure the growth of emerging technologies. An understanding of the founder experience shapes her approach as an investor. Her childhood was impacted by her father’s founder journey when his startup fell victim to the 2008 financial crisis. The profound feeling of desperately wanting to help but, being unable to fix, propelled Grace into a career focused on company building and helping both enterprises and founders.
She chose investment banking and consulting to build a foundation of analytical skills and broad industry knowledge. Now, as an investor for Menlo, she will draw from that experience sourcing and partnering with the next generation of founders at the earliest stages of company building.
In addition to her support of founders, we also recognized Grace as someone with the intellectual horsepower and analytical rigor required in venture capital. Furthermore, she brings humility, commitment and eagerness to learn. The CEOs she previously worked with report being impressed by how quickly Grace grasped the nuances of their businesses—beyond being a helpful hand, she became a true thought partner.
Please join us in welcoming Grace back to San Francisco, and to our team at Menlo Ventures – we can’t wait to see her impact on our firm and across our portfolio companies, both current and future.
