I’m happy to announce that Menlo has a new head of marketing, Tiffany Spencer.
In her role, Tiffany will oversee the marketing efforts of the firm and, as part of the Fuel team, she will work closely with Menlo-backed companies to help them achieve their marketing goals. She brings with her a long operating history of brand building, marketing, and communications for innovative entrepreneurs and companies.
Like the rest of the team at Menlo, Tiffany has a passion for helping early-stage companies grow. She started her career working with large companies like Microsoft, Electronic Arts, Phillips, and Samsung, but quickly realized that her heart was in startups: young companies with great teams and amazing products, eager to put their stamp on the world. Confident she could reimagine the launches she designed for big companies (with big budgets) she built a business as a launch strategist, introducing companies and products to the market. After designing a record-setting Kickstarter campaign that introduced her to fundraising, she decided to join a venture firm. From 2012-2018, she ran marketing for Bessemer Venture Partners. This unique combination of startup and VC marketing experience made her a great fit for the role at Menlo.

For this reason, we’ve created the Fuel team as a resource for Menlo’s portfolio companies. Working alongside our investment team, Tiffany and other Fuel team members bring deep expertise to help formulate growth, hiring, and business development plans that drive results. The goal of the Fuel team is to accelerate the trajectory of our companies; to help them meet their missions.
